Online peer support groups launching

Following a successful pilot programme earlier this year, we are delighted to share that from October 2026 we will be extending our offering of online support groups as part of our information and support service. We are excited about this new service and look forward to welcoming our attendees.

I feel empowered to try to engage with treatment options again. I feel that my experiences are shared and the problems I experience around migraine are failures with systems and processes rather than personal failures".

Pilot Programme Participant April 2026

Our peer support groups are a safe space, where you will be heard and believed. They provide an opportunity to share migraine experiences in a supportive environment with a small group of others who live with migraine.

These free online support groups for people aged 18 and over living in the UK are run by The Migraine Trust staff and volunteers and involve four sessions in total (one per month) and each session lasts for one hour. We request that before registering, attendees confirm that they can attend all four sessions.

There will be three groups running, each hosting up to 20 participants per group. We are trying to offer a variety of days and times to suit as many people as possible and expect the spaces to be filled quickly, so will also run a waiting list.

The next programme will begin during week commencing 19 October, with registration opening on 21 September. You can find group dates and registration details below.
