Migraine Meet-ups

Hold your very own Migraine Meet-up this September to raise awareness and vital funds for The Migraine Trust

Migraine affects over 10 million people in the UK, and it means something different to everyone. For some, it means pain, nausea, and missed opportunities. For others, it means navigating work with invisible symptoms or finding strength in community.

This Migraine Awareness Week, we’re inviting you to host a Migraine Meet-Up a fundraising coffee morning, brunch, or gathering that raises awareness and vital money to support our work.

What migraine means in 2025

This year’s theme, “Migraine Means”, shines a light on the real impact of migraine from the symptoms people live with to the challenges they face at work. Your Meet-Up can help start conversations, share stories, and show solidarity.

Whether you’re hosting at home, in your workplace, or in your community, your event helps us:

  • Fund life-changing research
  • Provide support and information
  • Campaign for better care and understanding

Host a Meet-Up that works for you

Your Meet-Up can be as simple or creative as you like. Here are some ideas:

    • Migraine means brunch – a relaxed morning with gentle lighting and migraine-friendly snacks
    • Migraine means understanding – a workplace lunch & learn
    • Migraine means community – a weekend garden party or coffee morning
    • Bake sales, afternoon teas, or craft nights
    • We’ll provide a free downloadable pack with tips, posters, bunting, and a quiz to make your event fun and stress-free.

Workplace Meet-Ups

Migraine doesn’t just affect people at home it impacts their working lives too. This year, we’re focusing on “Migraine Means in the Workplace”. If you’re hosting at work, consider:

  • Sharing stories from colleagues
  • Encouraging open conversations
  • Promoting migraine-friendly policies
  • Using your Meet-Up to educate and inspire change

My meet up was a really lovely chance to catch up with some of my best friends... I used it as an opportunity to thank these great women for all the support they have given me over the years!
