Event terms and conditions
Delegate information, terms and conditions for people attending an event organised by The Migraine Trust
In person events
On the day
Please note that we may take photographs, video and audio footage of the event, which may include speakers and delegates, and this may later be used in marketing and promotional material. If you do not want to appear in any material, please let The Migraine Trust know in advance in writing.
Whilst in attendance at The Migraine Trust events, if your behaviour is deemed disruptive, offensive, or if you are found to be distributing unauthorised material we reserve the right to eject you without prior notice or refund.
It is strictly forbidden to promote any organisation, service or product to delegates at our events. If you are found to be doing so, you will be asked to leave. Audio and visual recordings are not permitted without our prior consent.
Neither The Migraine Trust nor the venue can accept liability for damage to or loss of personal belongings at the event venue.
Dietary requirements
Please let us know in advance if you have specific dietary requirements such as a nut allergy or need gluten free food. We always provide a vegetarian option where a light meal is included in the programme.
Access requirements
We make every effort to ensure our events are accessible for all delegates. As a charity, we often cannot visit venues prior to events, so The Migraine Trust choose venues in good faith based on information provided by the venue. This means we may sometimes not know the specifics regarding the layout of a room, the lighting or heating facilities and furniture or fixings. For any specific access requirements, please let us know in advance of booking.
Speaker confirmation and programme changes
It may be necessary to make changes to speakers and event programmes from time to time, such as if speakers are prevented from attending. Although we endeavour to find suitable alternatives, we cannot guarantee specific speakers or sessions. Updates are regularly posted on our website.
Event bookings
Bookings are made in advance of events either online, over the phone or by post. Once we have received your booking we will send confirmation by email or post.
Where our events are provided to you at no cost and if for any reason you are no longer able to attend an event please notify The Migraine Trust as soon as possible in advance so that we may make your place available to someone else. Bookings are not transferable to another person(s) or another event.
Cancellation Policy
Where you have paid for a Migraine Trust event, 50% of delegate fees will be refunded for cancellations received up to 10 working days before the event. After this, no fees are refundable for cancellation or non-attendance.
Your health and disclaimer
Whilst we will do everything we can to make our events a positive experience for all attendees, The Migraine Trust can not accept any responsibility for your health or wellbeing whilst in attendance at one of our events. We encourage you to take responsibility for your own health and bring with you what you need such as medication or for example, small snacks and water, if required.
Information presented at Migraine Trust events is not intended to replace a consultation with a doctor or other appropriate healthcare professional. Our aim is to help people affected by migraine to become well informed and to help you work in partnership with your healthcare professional in the management of your condition.
You are strongly advised to discuss any decisions about your treatment with your own health professionals. The Migraine Trust cannot take responsibility for any action taken or not taken with regard to your health care.

Online events
Please note that our online events are recorded and video and audio footage of the event, which may include speakers and delegates, may later be used in marketing and promotional material, as well as appearing on our You Tube channel. If you do not want to appear in any material, please leave your camera turned off and use an anonymous name.
